International research cooperation

KhAI is a globally recognised aerospace research centre. It is focused on innovative research across the aerospace industry and has worked with AIRBUS, ONERA, Thales Alenia, Boeing, EOARD, IAI, AVIC, etc.

We have the strong international reputation in various research areas through our understanding of future needs and opportunities which are set to drive the KhAI’s interdisciplinary research strategies.

Bilateral cooperation   EU Framework Programmes

KhAI research teams are deeply involved in world-wide bilateral cooperation in key industrial fields, such as aeronautics, space, automotive, mechanical engineering, ICT, energy, etc. They implement bilateral R&D projects with leading research institutions and industrial enterprises from European and Asian countries, North America, South America, Australia, etc.

Since 2006 KhAI pays high attention to international collaborative research projects funded by European Commission within the Framework Programmes (FP6, FP7, Horizon 2020). Participation in these projects broadens KhAI’s researchers experience, stimulates further advanced developments and supports the integration of our University into the European research community.

KhAI has been involved in 2 FP6 and 5 FP7 projects, and currently, performs 2 ongoing Horizon 2020 projects.
